Yoga in Kalona

Class Description: 

This all-levels yoga class will focus on linking breathing with movements designed to stretch and strengthen all parts of your body. We will emphasize a safe and effective approach at learning movements and the experience will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.  The class focuses on increasing flexibility, strength, and balance.



 

Dates/Time/Location:  

  • Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

  • November 3, 10, and 17; December 1, 8, and 15 (6 sessions)

  • Please bring your own mat.

  • Held in the Velma Skola Program Room at the Kalona Public Library

Our Instructor:  Angela Shalla (Certified Yoga Instructor)



I have been practicing Yoga for 3 years and was instructed 1 on 1 for the first year.  It struck me so powerfully that when a Teacher Training Class started in this past February I signed up just to" find out more about Yoga". Now I can't wait to share what I have learned! I believe Yoga is all about finding out where you are and where you want to be - there is no success or failure only you doing the very best you can. Yoga has so much to offer to all of us. I expect to continue learning and growing in Yoga the rest of my life.

On a personal note I am wife and a Mother and a Grandmother, I love all those titles and the people that call me them! I have worked in Construction the past 17 yrs. I love to read and sew and look forward to working in the yard and garden all winter! I live in Wellman and recently lived in Kalona. I love the area and the people.
