Your First Visit to Our Kalona Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

We have worked hard to ensure an energizing, inviting atmosphere at Bright Futures Chiropractic: A Creating Wellness Center. We designed the space to be comfortable and make you feel at home. You'll find plenty of convenient parking in our parking lot. You will be greeted by name when you enter our office and given a short tour to get you acquainted with our office.

If you've already completed your First Visit paperwork by downloading it from this site, great! If not, you can complete the forms in the office once you arrive. Then, we will likely show you a short video before meeting with Dr. Grier or Dr. Erickson for your consultation and assessment. This meeting will include a brief conversation and review of of your health history.

If Dr. Grier or Dr. Erickson believes that chiropractic care could benefit you, your first visit will conclude with a thorough examination and assessment that will look at what areas of your spine and nervous system are involved and related to your health challenges. If other forms of care are more appropriate, the doctor will tell you that, too! You will then check out with Hannah or Christina and schedule a time to return for your Report of Findings. This allows us time to prepare the best plan to help you meet your health goals after reviewing your history and examination findings.

We will discuss each step as you go along. Our clients appreciate the fact that we explain everything in advance!

Plan on 30-45 minutes for your First Visit if you bring your completed paperwork with you. An extra 15 minutes or so will be needed if you complete the forms in the office, so come early! Your health is very important to us and we want to take the time we need during your First Visit.

Dr. Chris Asks some important questions of interest to Kalona residents - Chiropractor Kalona Dr. Chris Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What is the significance of "growing pains?"
Chiropractors know that aches or pains at any age mean something's not right. In fact, many children go through stages of growth without aches or pains. So while "growing pains" may be common, they're not normal. That's why our Kalona chiropractic practice sees lots of children. A chiropractic checkup for your child can often help detect and correct problems that are more difficult to correct in Kalona adults.
